Rachel Qiu

Rachel Qiu is a Data Scientist with the Data and AI team.

About

Rachel Qiu is a data scientist based at Christchurch Science Centre. She holds a master’s degree in applied data science from University of Canterbury and a bachelor’s degree in philosophy. Rachel has special interest in the fields of Spatial Analysis and Deep Learning. She is currently working on a GIS project of locating unknown on-site wastewater systems in Canterbury. Moreover, Rachel is enthusiastic about exploring innovative approaches that fuse GIS and Deep Learning methodologies to address tangible challenges in the real world.
