Trade Effluent Hazard Profile: Veterinary Clinics
Summary
Trade waste describes liquid waste streams and by-products produced by commercial, industrial, institutional or business activities, that are discharged to the municipal wastewater network. The composition of trade wastes may differ from that of domestic wastewater, and may contain contaminants that pose additional risks to human and/or environmental health or to the integrity of network infrastructure if they are not adequately managed. This report provides information on contaminants of potential concern for human health that may be present in trade waste from veterinary clinics.
