The Enteric Reference Laboratory confirmed 38 non-human Salmonella isolates in January 2026 compared with 46 in January 2025.

There was a decrease in the number of S. Bovismorbificans (8 in 2025 versus 4 in 2026), and S. Hindmarsh (8 in 2025 versus 2 in 2026).

February

The Enteric Reference Laboratory confirmed 39 non-human Salmonella isolates in February 2026 compared with 39 in February 2025.

March

The Enteric Reference Laboratory confirmed 45 non-human Salmonella isolates in March 2026 compared with 47 March 2025.

April

The Enteric Reference Laboratory confirmed 46 non-human Salmonella isolates in April 2026 compared with 72 April 2025.

There was a decrease in the number of S. Bovismorbificans isolates (11 in 2025 versus 5 in 2026), S. Hindmarsh isolates (15 in 2025 versus 7 in 2026) and S. Typhimurium isolates (29 in 2025 versus 14 in 2026)

There was an increase in the number of S. Give isolates (9 in 2025 versus 12 in 2026).

The Enteric Reference Laboratory confirmed 46 non-human Salmonella isolates in May 2026 compared with 87 in May 2025.

There was a decrease in the number of S. Give isolates (16 in 2025 versus 9 in 2026) and S. Typhimurium isolates (34 in 2025 versus 14 in 2026).
