Summary

This report presents an overview of the epidemiology of invasive Group A streptococcal (iGAS) infection in New Zealand for 2023. Surveillance of iGAS infection is undertaken by ESR, based on isolates sent to the ESR Invasive Pathogens Laboratory (IPL).
