2018-2019 - Antimicrobial resistance and molecular epidemiology of Neisseria gonorrhoeae in New Zealand

Summary

The current survey was undertaken between November 2018 to March 2019, and describes (1) the phenotypic antimicrobial susceptibility of N. gonorrhoeae, (2) the genotypic determinants associated with antimicrobial resistance, (3) the N. gonorrhoeae multi-antigen sequence type (NG-MAST) of all isolates, (4) the population structure of gonococci in New Zealand, and (5) changes in diversity since the previous N. gonorrhoeae survey that was carried out in 2014/2015.
